I am a photographer with an eye for rural architecture. My first photograph of an old barn was in the 1980’s. My photography went on the back burner when I became a career firefighter. After hanging up my gear, I soon got back into photography. I soon started shooting whatever captured my eye before settling on the beautiful old buildings found along the back roads of the Midwest. My work shows my fondness for the subjects I shoot by showing others how I view them. It is my way of preserving the majestic work buildings of the American farmer.
I see beauty, an untold story, in what I photograph.
The old barns, trucks, and other items I photograph are rusting and decaying away. I preserve them through my work. Their stories can only be imagined. The old pick-up truck in the field may have brought produce to market. The forgotten barn could have housed farm animals that produced food for the family long gone.
Through my prints, I invite you to bring bits of my stories into your life and home. New prints are released regularly, so check back often. If you sign up for updates, you will get notified about new prints, sales, and shows.
Here is a list of tentative shows I plan on doing in 2021, provided they don't cancel. I will update this list as things become more concrete.
